    1. We should keep in touch on WordPress, it seems to be a good source to sharing my adventures. Life is truly what you make it and sometimes things don’t work out (those don’t make it to the site) and sometimes they do. Overall, I just grab hold of the rails and enjoy the ride πŸ™‚

HI Trista, thanks for visiting my blog The Bllu Room. We need to know our fellow travelers! It feels so comforting to find others to share our stories along the road. I hope you’ll visit me more and like my posts.
I’m looking forward to following yours. cheers, bllu

    1. Thank you for this note, reminds me how many paths one crosses on a daily basis. Traveling has always been something I did not to find a paradise, but to also admire other people’s made paradises. Hope your future holds many adventures and posting them becomes a passing hobby at hotels or hostels. πŸ™‚

  2. Thank you for liking my post! Lovely idea to write short stories and haikus. I’ve always wanted to write too and love poems, but I struggle to finish any projects I start. Maybe I should also try shorter stories :).

    1. Thank you for taking the time to read my details! If you are starting to write, I suggest to start with flash fiction. It is when you can take a moment of a characters life and put him/her in a situation that captures the reader for about 10 minutes. It’s perfect to see your style and to put up on your blog πŸ™‚

  3. Thanks for following my blog. I enjoyed our chat and thought I’d buzz over here and take a look at your blog. I like your small stone about re-writes. Love the re-writes, right? πŸ˜‰ Your kitties are beautiful. Alice

Hey Trista, it’s ‘Bridget Jones’ from the online writing course. Your blog is awesome! I’m glad there is another person around my age taking the class. Can’t wait to read more of your work!

    1. Thanks for reaching out and checking out my blog. I put the link so people can get more of a face to the name. And don’t get it twisted, just because I have a blog, doesn’t make me an ‘excellent’ writer. Writing is something I have always done on some level but it’s fun to start over again and again πŸ™‚

Why is your blog titled ‘Trista is SHORT,’ with emphasis on ‘short’? I’m curious, I’d like to know why.

    1. I think I always grew up being the small girl in class and always emphasized, “good things come in small packages!” Maybe the idea just stuck on me and thought it would be fun to use it in a blog sense.

  6. A good friend of mine once told me years ago an important piece of advice: Look at your job as something that supports your work as a writer, not the other way around. With that advice I was able to keep my sanity on a job while writing. Writing, fortunately for me, is my work, which I happily do. My J-O-B pays my bills, which supports my work.

    Trista,
Your liking some of my poetry on “Randa Lane…” has made a ‘gloomerainy’ day in north Texas brighter. Have just begun to explore your site but know already your poetry is miles above the usual blogosphere sophomoric angst. I am now a follower!
Drop by “Randa Lane…” anytime or, if you just can’t help yourself, follow!! “PWEEEZE?” πŸ™‚ (Sorry for groveling!)

    Warmest Respect,

  8. Trista,I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to return the visit you made to one of my blogs (Four Foxes, One Hound); the message was lost in mounds of email. I also have another blog and I had taken a break from it for a while; I was not visiting the visitors there or getting to most blogs that I follow.I am trying to get back and see what I have missed.
Thank you for your interest and I will be checking out more on your site. Best of luck to you.
